Healthcare Reform Won’t Help If You Don’t Improve Your Habits

By Alex Baran, Project Weight Loss Staff Writer

It’s not so important if the US health care reform bill will pass or not but if you contribute to your wellbeing is. The root of the problem is you should prevent health problems, not wait for the State to help you.

Sometimes your worst enemy can be yourself. Yes, health care services are bad, but it depends on you to live a healthy life as well. On the other hand, doctors are overwhelmed by patients, and their resources are limited. Besides waiting for help from the Government, could you consider helping the system too?

You might be sick and tired of this situation, but what are you going to do about it? I hope you won’t need medical attention soon, but if you do, look carefully around you – what do you see? Overweight people? Out of shape individuals? Dull and lethargic patients? While they wait, of course, they eat fast, they’re in a hurry, so they eat junk food. This is what crushes health care system, according to Christina Pirello.

You’re not cut off from communication, so you can easily find healthy solutions to improve your lifestyle. Are you aware that fast food might be loaded with growth hormones, pesticides, and antibiotics? You deserve better quality nutrition.

Since you work hard, you have the right to some yummy treats, but what are the costs? Do you think you also have the right to Type-2 diabetes, heart disease, or cancer? I ask that because a bad nutrition leads to those diseases. Yes, you deserve some treats, but with moderation.

Because of the crisis, the economy is not fully recovered yet and fast food is cheaper than fresh foods, but this shouldn’t be an excuse for some unhealthy habits. Let’s start a food revolution; let’s stop being confused and let’s prevent diseases!
