Three-Day Diet – Effective or Just a Myth?

The Three-Day diet is simply a low calorie diet. It involves eating certain foods. There is no magic in this. No magical reaction will help you lose weight quickly and permanently. Fast weight loss is due to decreased number of calories. A part of the weight loss can be from the fat tissue, but the biggest part of it will be actually the loss of water from the body. That is why some experts recommend this diet be only seldom followed, and only in case you really need to fit into your small pretty dress. This type of diet is usually followed by women who are going to participate to a special event and want to look perfect in their outfits. When summer is out there and you want to look attractive in your swimsuit, you may be tempted to try this diet. Still, be careful at the adverse reactions it could have. So, this diet requires from those who decide to follow it: DAY 1 Breakfast - Tea or a glass of water, a slice of toast with peanut butter. In general, the diet requires that you drink a glass of warm water every morning. Lunch- A slice of toast with tuna, canned tuna in water. Black coffee, tea, or water. Dinner- 0.22 lb. of chicken meat combined with four tablespoons of beans cooked without grease. You could also eat an apple. To drink – tea or water. DAY 2 Breakfast- Tea (without sugar) or warm water. An egg, a slice of toast, and one banana. Lunch- 0.55 lb. of cheese or tuna, 5 biscuits. Black coffee, tea, or water. Dinner- 2 turkey or chicken sausages, a half cup of carrots, broccoli and cabbage salad. Coffee or tea. DAY 3 Breakfast- Black coffee, tea, or warm water. One slice of toast with cheese, an apples. Lunch- 1 hard boiled egg, a slice of toast. To drink coffee, tea, or water. Dinner- Tuna salad and a half of cup of carrots. To drink tea or water. During this diet you are allowed to eat lemons, as many as you can, mustard, and pepper. So, how many pounds can you lose with this diet? Reportedly, up to 9 pounds, depending on your metabolism and how many pounds you have before the diet. Obese people could lose more than those framed in a normal weight.
