Other information about me

I am getting extremely depressed about how much weight I've put on the last couple of months. I used to be able to stay at a stable weight and body shape, but every since my friend died, I've started 'letting myself go', mainly because I have limited time to eat well, so I tend to eat bad to save time.

My friends have been incredibly supportive also, with only minimal teasing about chocolate and Chik-Fil-A. While they're partaking in some chicken nuggets, I'm happy with a wrap (they're actually really good, and never had them before starting my diet).

Sometimes I get cravings for things I know I shouldn't be eating, but my doctor said its good to reward myself every now and then with a treat- just not making it a habit of EVERY little thing being rewarded. Plus, I like my new reward she let me have: Granny Smith apple slices with low-fat caramel!

My job is pretty hectic, and from one day to the next my lunch options shift dramatically. Now, I've been taking my lunches with me- usually a piece of fruit, a cup of Jell-O, and a organic peanut butter sandwich on whole grain bread. I can stay on track, as long as our receptionist doesn't put out anything too tempting!

Aside from that, the firehouse would be my next problem. People are always coming by, dropping off cookies and cakes as their way to thank us. And dinners at the station are always hard- we eat fast because we move fast. I've gone with selected specific things I can eat from the places we order from, so even though I'll be eating fast, it will still be good for me!
